Pressure Drop Boxing Group

The Pressure Drop Boxing Group, is one of The Forgotten Boys initiatives, that serves as a gateway to our comprehensive therapy and support network. It not only connects individuals to our services but also guides them towards other need specific organizations. It is designed as a powerful tool for engagement and retention, enabling participants to embark on positive pathways that lead to transformative life changes. But equally important it is a place where men can get together, enjoy themselves as they take part in a boxing session.

Introduction: The Pressure Drop Boxing Group, is a "Chat-N-Box" non-contact boxing programme to help improve Men's mental and physical strengths. A transformative initiative designed specifically for men who have endured addiction, homelessness, abuse, and exploitation by criminal activity. This unique programme recognizes the need for a holistic approach to mental health, combining the physicality and discipline of boxing with a supportive environment to empower participants in making positive changes. Engaging, retaining, and facilitating a transition for clients into a life of transformation and growth, the Pressure Drop Boxing Programme offers a pathway to healing, recovery, and a brighter future.

Emotional Catharsis and Healing: Boxing provides a powerful outlet for emotional catharsis and healing. The intense physical activity allows participants to channel their emotions in a controlled and constructive manner, releasing pent-up frustrations, anger, and pain. This process contributes to emotional healing and a renewed sense of inner peace.

Community and Support System: The Pressure Drop Boxing Programme fosters a supportive community where participants can connect with others who have faced similar challenges. The programme encourages camaraderie, empathy, and mutual support among participants, providing a safe and understanding space for them to share their experiences and journey together towards positive change.

Goal Setting and Achievement: The programme emphasizes goal setting as a means to motivate and empower participants. By helping them set achievable goals within the boxing context, such as mastering specific techniques, the programme encourages participants to develop a sense of purpose, focus, and accomplishment.

Skill Development and Discipline: Engaging in the Pressure Drop Boxing Programme offers participants an opportunity to learn new skills and develop discipline. The structured training sessions teach boxing techniques, self-control, and discipline, which can be transferred to other areas of their lives, helping them establish a more stable and positive lifestyle.

Transition into Positive Change: The programme serves as a transition for participants, guiding them towards making positive changes in their lives beyond boxing. Through workshops, counselling, and mentorship, participants receive guidance on practical life skills, education, employment opportunities, and accessing support networks. The Pressure Drop Boxing Programme aims to equip participants with the necessary tools to transition into a healthier, more fulfilling, and self-sufficient future.
